Stillwell Athens Expands Mental Health Services with Young Adult Intensive Outpatient Program

Stillwell Athens is expanding access to mental health care in the Athens community through comprehensive counseling services and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) designed specifically for young adults ages 18–30.

Located in Athens, Stillwell provides individual, couples and family therapy, psychiatric care and medication management, group therapy, and coaching for adolescents, young adults, adults, and families. Our clinicians support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, ADHD and executive functioning challenges, substance use and recovery, relationship concerns, and major life transitions.

Stillwell’s Young Adult Intensive Outpatient Program was created to help fill the gap between traditional weekly therapy and residential or inpatient treatment. Designed with college students, graduate students, young professionals, and other young adults in mind, the program allows clients to receive a higher level of support while remaining engaged in school, work, relationships, and daily life.

IOP services integrate group and individual therapy, psychiatric support, practical skill development, and individualized care based on each client’s needs.

Stillwell Athens accepts select insurance plans as well as self-pay clients, with both in-person and telehealth options available depending on the service.

Our goal is to make high-quality, relationship-centered mental health care more accessible within the Athens community and to collaborate closely with local physicians, therapists, universities, schools, and community organizations to help individuals find the right level of support when they need it.
