Athens Achieves Job Portal Launched at AthensAchieves.com

On January 26, the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce launched the latest piece of our Athens Achieves initiative: the Athens Achieves Job Portal.

Now live at AthensAchieves.com, this job portal aims to be a valuable resource for job seekers and employers alike, connecting local talent to local jobs.

This portal allows job seekers to search and apply for jobs, while simultaneously connecting them to local support services and informing them about hiring events.

A key element of this new job portal is the Athens Achieves Navigators. Employed through the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce, these Navigators play a role similar to both recruiters and social workers. They help connect candidates to job opportunities while also connecting them to services that help overcome barriers to employment, such as challenges with transportation, childcare, or education.

The Navigators also assist employers by promoting jobs and finding qualified candidates for their open positions in a more personalized manner than nationwide job portals allow.
