Classic Center Cultural Foundation Accepting Applications for 2026-2027 Community Grant

The Classic Center Cultural Foundation is pleased to announce that applications are now open for its 2026–2027 Community Grant Program. Each year, the Cultural Foundation awards up to $5,000 in grant funding to support initiatives in performing, visual, or culinary arts and workforce development projects that align with the hospitality industry in Athens-Clarke County.

The deadline to apply is Friday, August 14, at 5:00 p.m. A committee will review the applications and select recipients. Recipients will be announced in September 2026.

Applicants must submit a completed application, a detailed project proposal, and a one-year timeline for project completion. Eligible projects may include events, performances, and educational programs. 

Past Projects include:

  • Community theatre projects
  • Funds for public art in a local park
  • Space rent for a traveling exhibit at The Classic Center
  • Securing a musical act to perform for area schools
  • Creating a Hospitality Pathway for local high school students
  • Assisting with after-school arts programs for children and youth
Please note that the Cultural Foundation grant is limited to programs or organizations in AthensClarke County, and that for-profit businesses will not be considered.
