Winterville Marigold Festival 2026

Savannah Country Duo Andy & Mandy to Headline Winterville Marigold Festival; Folk-Punk Sunny War of Nashville Also in Lineup; Kid’s Stage Returns

The Winterville Marigold Festival will be held Saturday May 9, 2026 in Pittard Park. The family friendly event starts at 7:30 am with the Marigold 10K, hosted by Athens Road Runners.

The Marigold Express II train will lead the parade through town at 10 am. After the parade, the entertainment begins with a puppet show on the Kid’s Stage at the Front Porch Bookstore. Behind the bookstore, the Kid’s Area will continue to entertain the little ones with bouncy houses, face painting and more. Festival goers can shop for local, unique, handmade gifts with more than 80 arts and crafts, specialty, and non-profit vendors and enjoy demonstrations from Canopy Studios, Athens Skatepark Project, and several artists throughout the day while sampling tasty treats from a variety of cuisines from our food vendors.

Joining us from Nashville, folk-punk singer-songwriter Sunny War will take the stage in the afternoon. Winterville’s own Mayor Dodd will rock out with his band, Me’an Mills, before the headliner, Savannah brother and sister country duo Andy & Mandy.

The Marigold Festival Board is excited to showcase the talents of Elise Geruntino, the 2026 Winterville Marigold Festival featured artist. Elise, a Winterville resident and Athens native, received her BFA in Graphic Design from UGA. An illustrator at heart, her primary medium is digital illustration with occasional screen printing. She draws inspiration from art history, the natural world, and alternative culture. When not drawing, you will find Elise in the garden getting her hands dirty and growing all sorts of produce, being a critter lover, cooking up elaborate recipes, and supporting the local music and food scene.
