Saucehouse BBQ has some exciting news to share—we have new ownership as of January 2nd, 2026! This marks the beginning of a new chapter, and we couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead!

Saucehouse BBQ Catering has been acquired by Alan Pope and the Pope family, who bring over fifteen years of experience in the food service industry. The Popes currently own and founded The Place, a Southern-style restaurant located in downtown Athens, Georgia. Alan and the management of Saucehouse’s goal is simple: keep everything you love about Saucehouse the same while creating new opportunities to grow and expand our catering offerings with additions of The Place’s catering and menus!

Rest assured, the Saucehouse management team and talented chefs aren’t going anywhere. You can expect the same great service, same menus, and the same friendly staff you’ve been working with! If anything changes down the road, we’ll be sure to keep our customers and community informed! Saucehouse BBQ Catering has built an amazing foundation and a loyal following.
