Mercy Health Center Welcomes Emma Carlson, FNP-BC

Athens, GA — Mercy Health Center is pleased to welcome Emma Carlson, FNP-BC, to its clinical team as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Manager.

Emma began her healthcare career serving in gospel-centered, underserved clinics as a Registered Nurse, where she became deeply aware of the unmet needs within her own community.

“It is so humbling to be a part of helping the most vulnerable population right in our own country,” Emma shared. “There is such a need right here at home!”

She later earned her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and brings experience in both primary and inpatient care. Prior to joining Mercy Health Center, Emma served in multi-site primary care settings and was recognized for her compassionate nursing care as a DAISY Award recipient.

Since joining Mercy Health Center, Emma has taken on both patient care and clinical leadership responsibilities. As Clinical Manager, she supports quality and safety initiatives across departments while continuing to provide compassionate, gospel-centered medical care.
