Monsignor Donovan Catholic High School Expands to Include 7th & 8th Grade

Monsignor Donovan Catholic School is excited to announce the expansion of its academic program to include 7th and 8th grade, beginning in the 2025-2026 school year. This expansion will provide families with a seamless Catholic education experience from Pre-K through 12th grade, strengthening the partnership between Donovan and St. Joseph Catholic Parish School (Pre-K - 6th grade).

The decision to move middle school to Donovan aligns with the research-backed benefits of the 7-12 grade model, which fosters:

  • Stronger academic continuity with access to advanced coursework and high school-level resources.

  • More leadership opportunities for students in athletics, clubs, and campus activities.

  • Improved social-emotional development by reducing transitions and creating mentorship opportunities between younger and older students.

Our partnership with St. Joseph Catholic Parish School ensures that students receive a strong foundation in elementary school and continue their journey in a challenging, faith-based environment at Donovan. This model sets students up for success by providing a consistent educational path in a supportive, family-like community.

“We are incredibly excited about this next step in Donovan’s growth and look forward to welcoming new students into our community,”  said Dr. Ashli Walker, Head of School at Monsignor Donovan Catholic School, “This expansion will provide middle school students with a head start on their high school journey while benefiting from our strong academics, athletics, and supportive community.”

Monsignor Donovan Catholic School is now enrolling for grades 7-12 for the 2025-2026 school year. Families interested in learning more are encouraged to schedule a tour or student shadow day.
