Invest Athens and Envision Athens Announce the Athens Creatives Directory Website and Launch Event

The newly reimagined directory opens to a limited group in February, full launch in Summer 

Athens, Georgia – January XX, 2025 – Invest Athens (Athens Clarke County Economic Development Department) in collaboration with Envision Athens’ Create Athens group, announce the reimagining and relaunch of the Athens Creatives Directory, a digital resource hub for local Athenian makers, buyers, educators, and businesses. To celebrate the directory’s soft launch, please join Invest Athens and Envision Athens at the Lyndon House Arts Center on February 13th from 6pm-7:30pm. Event will include a brief presentation of the new brand foundation and website from Kaptiv8 Marketing. 

As a collaboration between Athens Economic Development and stakeholders in the creative community, the Athens Creatives Directory seeks to empower and uplift the thriving creative community of Athens through a vibrant and unified digital network where artists and creators are celebrated, supported, and connected.  

Myung Cogan, Small Business & Entrepreneurship Coordinator for Invest Athens stated, “by providing artists with the resources, partnerships, and opportunities they need to grow their careers, and offering patrons and businesses a direct link to the heart of Athens’ creative scene, the Athens Creatives Directory will help bolster the local creative economy and community.” 

Sally Kimel-Sheppard, Executive Director of Envision Athens, expresses her enthusiasm for the project, “Envision is excited to support our creative community and to promote workforce development with our local creatives.” As part of Envision, Create Athens, a group of 20 professionals in the Athens arts community including the Lyndon House Arts Center, Georgia Musuem of Art, and many others, worked in collaboration with Kaptiv8 to create the new messaging foundation and website structure.
