Get Ready To Do The Time Warp As A Cult Classic Returns To The Classic Center Theatre!


ATHENS, Ga. – The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the longest-running theatrical release in film history, returns to The Classic Center Theatre for the second year on Sunday, October 20 at 8:00 p.m. The Rocky Horror Picture Show will also feature a “shadow cast” – a troupe of players who act out the
movie on stage while the film plays on screen – in partnership with Dancefx Athens. The Rocky Horror Picture Show is the iconic little movie that conquered Hollywood. The hit film stars Tim Curry as the devious and fabulous Frank-N-Furter, Meatloaf, Barry Bostwick, and Susan Sarandon as
everybody's favorite nerdy couple –Brad and Janet – and the film's creator Richard O'Brien as Riff Raff. The film has become one of the longest weekly showing movies in the world. In addition to a shadow cast, this performance will feature a costume contest, open to the first 15 contestants that sign up. Prop bags will be available for purchase as ticket add-ons, or in the lobby on the night of.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, September 20 at 10:00 a.m.

- Patrons who join The Classic Center Cultural Foundation by 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17
will receive access to a special presale beginning Wednesday, September 18 at 10:00 a.m.
