Boys From Oklahoma Adds Second Show in Athens, GA on Friday, February 27!

ATHENS, GA – January 8, 2026 - The clamor from fans to personally experience the much anticipated return of Cross Canadian Ragweed remains at a top volume. After a string of sold-out stadium shows co-headlining in 2025, Cross Canadian Ragweed and Turnpike Troubadours have announced The Boys From Oklahoma (BFOK), coming to Akins Ford Arena in Athens, GA, on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Following the trend of past BFOK shows, demand for tickets outgrew the one-show capacity, so a second show has now been added at Akins Ford Arena on Friday, February 27. The lineup will include a special guest, The Castellows! Venue and artist presale begins on Thursday, January 15, and tickets go on sale on Friday, January 16. After a whirlwind year of sold-out stadium shows in Stillwater, Oklahoma and Waco, Texas, a few select special appearances, and stepping in for Tim McGraw to headline opening night at the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Last Cowboy Standing event in Colorado, the powerful clamor from fans to see Cross Canadian Ragweed back on stage after 15 years remains undiminished. From Dierks Bentley’s song “Free And Easy” in 2006 where he sings "Ragweed's rockin' on the radio" to Koe Wetzel’s 2019 song “Ragweed” where he sings about missing the band to the 2021 album The Years: A MusicFest Tribute to Cody Canada and the music of Cross Canadian Ragweed to references to the band’s music in two different Stephen King novels, the deep impact of the band’s music and influence has never been allowed to fade, rather it has been memorialized and preserved for the existing populous of fans and the coming generations who will no doubt one day discover the band that “smells like country, tastes like rock n’ roll.”
