Akins Ford Arena to Host Clarke Central and Cedar Shoals Basketball Teams for Inaugural Classic City
ATHENS, Ga. –Rival Clarke Central and Cedar Shoals basketball teams face off in a head-to-head battle at the Classic City Championship at Akins Ford Arena. Mark your calendars for Friday, December 20, and join us for an action-packed day of games!
Game Schedule:
- Clarke Central vs. Cedar Shoals Junior Varsity Women’s Teams | 1:00 p.m.
- Clarke Central vs. Cedar Shoals Junior Varsity Men’s Teams | 3:00 p.m.
- Clarke Central vs. Cedar Shoals Varsity Women’s Teams | 5:00 p.m.
- Clarke Central vs. Cedar Shoals Varsity Men’s Teams | 7:00 p.m.
“We are extremely excited that athletes from both our comprehensive high schools will be coming together to play basketball on a neutral court,” said Dr. Robbie Hooker, Superintendent of Clarke County School District. “Akins Ford Arena is a beautiful facility, and we feel very fortunate to have such a high-quality venue to host this important event that will bring our Jaguar and Gladiator fans together under one roof.”
Tickets for this inaugural community event go on sale Friday, October 25, at 10:00 a.m.
