Social Sales Manager

Responsible for revenue production for the hotel with overnight room bookings and event bookings related to weddings and social events. The Sales Manager will manage this segment according to direction established by the Director of Sales/General Manager. The Sales Manager is a “hands-on” manager actively involved in securing, qualifying, organizing details for events & accommodations, and following up on leads to book specific business. Attending events may be required and would include some evenings and weekends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage inquiries through different lead sources, including but not limited to Hotel Indigo website RFPs, WeddingWire/ HereComesTheGuide/ Zola, direct contact and drop-in clients.
• Manage room blocks and continual correspondence with clients. ? Manage and plan pricing schedules for wedding blocks and venue rentals according to local market research.
• Plan and detail events including catering as needed. Create Banquet Event Orders for each event sold and create floor plan diagrams for clients/in-house as needed.
• Properly follow up on all groups solicited and/or booked. Trace and communicate regarding client needs while maintaining periodic contact with the client.
• Represent Hotel Indigo Athens in a professional and ethical manner at industry events for both trade and consumer market segments. Foster productive relationships with local industry partners. 
• Monitor and update web marketing outlets, such as IndigoAthensWeddings.com and other wedding search sites, with current packages and photos.
• Update and maintain wedding-related brochures and print materials.
• Ensure proper maintenance of all sales files and in-office systems, both in digital and hard copy.
• Complete and submit, in a timely manner, all weekly/monthly/quarterly sales reports to the DOS/GM.
• Provide the GM and DOS with suggestions, advice, and support concerning marketing, advertising, promotions, and public relations.
• Perform all other sales-oriented and operational duties as instructed by the GM, DOS, and management company/ownership team.
• Graphic design for events and promotions from Hotel Indigo
• Oversight of media company to ensure that all information on the website and social media platforms is accurate and visually appealing
• Assist Sales department as needed
