About the Position: 

The Creative Director owns the vision, health, and performance of the Content, Social Media and Creative service area including its people, products, processes, and tools. They lead with See.Spark.Go’s mission, values, and growth mindset, serving both clients and team members by ensuring operational excellence, relational leadership, and sustainable growth.

This role is responsible for leading, managing, and holding their team accountable, driving client retention and strategy, refining service offerings, and developing high-performing team members who deliver exceptional results. This team member has a keen interest and eye for social media, graphic design, video and how campaigns come to life through copy and creative online, in print and in live activations. 

This is a full time position based in either our Athens or Atlanta office. This role is hybrid, with the expectation of at least three days per week in the office.

Key Roles 

  • People Leader – Lead, manage, and coach team members, creating and building upon SSG’s strong culture and performance expectations.
  • Creative Services Owner – Build, optimize, and scale social media and creative services through best practices, tools, and ongoing training. 
  • Client Relationship Owner and Champion – Own client satisfaction, retention, and service excellence within the service area.
  • Growth Driver – Identify and support business development, service innovation, and expansion opportunities.
  • Integrator for the Service Area – Ensure seamless communication, aligned priorities, and smooth processes between leadership, the team, and across service areas.

Responsibilities 

  • Team Leadership, Management and Accountability 
  • Lead key accounts with strategic insight and a focus on delivering high-impact results.
  • Refine and innovate service area practices, tools, and processes for maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure all deliverables align with brand strategy, meet client objectives, and reflect creative excellence.
  • Provide regular reporting on service quality, profitability, team capacity and overall service area performance.
  • Own client retention & relationship management
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, staying on top of trends and service accounts with strategy, insights and valuable counsel.
  • Attract new clients and collaborate with Business Development and Executive teams to close new opportunities
Skills and Qualifications
Education
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications or Journalism, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Film, or a related creative field
Professional Experience
  • 7-10+ years in a creative role
  • Proven track record leading integrated creative work across platforms, from concept through execution.
  • Agency experience or deep familiarity with agency workflow including client pitches, campaign rollouts, production timelines.
Creative & Strategic
  • Strong conceptual thinker with the ability to develop big ideas that resonate across multiple platforms.
  • Deep understanding of social media trends, digital storytelling techniques, and content formats (including short-form video, branded content, and emerging formats).
  • Able to balance creativity with business goals—using KPIs, engagement, and conversion metrics to guide and evaluate success.
Leadership
  • Demonstrated success in managing, mentoring, and inspiring creative teams, including designers, copywriters, videographers, and social strategists.
  • Confident presenter with experience communicating ideas to clients and internal stakeholders at a senior level.
  • Strong project management skills.
Technical
  • Proficient in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc.).
  • Strong working knowledge of social media platforms’ mechanics.
  • Experience with Sprout Social or similar is a plus.

  • Visionary thinker who can anticipate trends and shape brand voice.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
