The Art of Failing: Learning Through Setbacks is a panel-style lunch and learn where local women will be talking about how "failure" taught them something that helped them expand their business, career, or life in general. Rather than viewing failing as a setback, we'll be discussing how failure can be an opportunity.
Meet the Panelists:
Panelist: Brandy Anderson, Founder/CEO, Acceptance Recovery Center
Brandy is a compassionate and dedicated leader in the field of addiction recovery, driven by a heartfelt mission to create a revolutionary recovery moment. As someone who has been in recovery since 2009, Brandy brings invaluable firsthand insight and empathy to her work.
Panelist: Wendy Muñiz, Co-Founder/Producer, The Lightroom
Wendy is a creative producer, scriptwriter, visual artist, and educator. A Dominican immigrant and first-generation student, she obtained a PhD in Latin American Cultures from Columbia University and co-founded Zero Chill and The Lightroom Athens.
Moderator: Katie Jones, Founder & Lead Consultant, KJ Consulting Group
Katie is a consultant with 20 years of experience in education. She has served as a high school teacher, worked in higher education, recruited and trained teachers, and supported first-generation students as they transitioned from high school to college. Katie has used tools like MBTI, DISC, and Restorative Practices to improve self-understanding and interpersonal dynamics for teams in educational, organizational, and athletic settings.
