In this interactive class, Chef Mack Bui will guide you step-by-step through the process of mastering sushi rice and traditional rolling techniques. You’ll learn how to properly wash, cook, and season sushi rice to achieve the perfect texture, gaining the confidence to handle nori and fresh ingredients like a pro. We’ll demonstrate how to prepare light, crispy vegetable tempura—a staple of Japanese kitchens. You’ll learn how to whisk a delicate batter, maintain the perfect frying temperature, and create a variety of classic rolls using fresh seafood and crisp vegetables.
