Athens-Oconee CASA Ribbon Cutting

Please join the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce as we celebrate the ribbon cutting for Athens-Oconee CASA.  As a nonprofit organization based in Athens, CASA works alongside juvenile courts and the community to ensure children experiencing foster care have the support, advocacy, and opportunity they deserve. In 2025 they served over 200 children in care with 99 active CASA volunteers. Through their specially trained volunteer advocates appointed by the court, each child receives individualized attention, a stronger voice, and someone dedicated to helping them find safe, stable, and nurturing homes. They are proud to mark this special occasion and share more about the life-changing impact CASA has on children and families in our community.
