Athens Indoor Football League Head Coach Meet & Greet

The Athens Indoor Football team is inviting fans and the community to officially welcome its new head coach during a special "Meet & Greet with Coach Rob Keefe" on Wednesday, July 1, from Noon to 2:00 PM at Buffalo Wild Wings, located at 1956 W. Broad St. in Athens.

The event gives fans their first opportunity to meet Keefe since he was introduced Monday as the inaugural head coach of Athens' new Indoor Football League (IFL) franchise, which begins play in March 2027.

One of the most accomplished coaches in professional indoor football, Keefe guided the Bay Area Panthers to the 2023 IFL National Championship and has captured seven professional indoor football championships overall, including three as a head coach. Known for building championship-caliber teams and an exciting brand of football, Keefe is eager to begin connecting with the Athens community.

Fans are encouraged to stop by, meet the coach, talk football, hear his vision for the franchise, learn about the type of team he plans to build, and ask questions about the Indoor Football League and the upcoming inaugural season.

Everyone who attends will also have the opportunity to vote for the team name and register to win an official IFL football autographed by team owners Jerome "The Bus" Bettis, David Pollack, and Brian Jordan. Additionally, an interactive game will give fans a chance to show off their passing skills.
