Join Pro Football Hall of Famer and Super Bowl Champion Jerome Bettis, 3-time UGA All-American David Pollack, former Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Falcons star Brian Jordan, and special guest, Former UGA Head Coach Mark Richt, as they announce the launch of an Indoor Football League franchise in Athens! This free, public event is designed to generate excitement, media attention, and fan engagement as football becomes a year-round experience in Athens.
Attendees will experience a dynamic, entertainment-driven atmosphere featuring a live performance by the UGA Redcoat Alumni Band, interactive elements, concessions, and a high-impact introduction to the fast-paced, fan-friendly nature of indoor football. More than a traditional press conference, this event is being produced as a fan-first spectacle - blending the energy of a college gameday, a concert, and a major league announcement - to create a memorable launch moment for a new sports tradition in Athens.
