Learn about life in 19th-century Athens, Georgia during this free living history program at the Historic Athens Welcome Center! Historic demonstrations, live music, and learning stations will introduce guests of all ages to: Skills & Trades Toys & Games Fashion & Textiles Herbs & Foodways Music & Traditional Instruments Indigenous History & Cultures Black History & West African Traditions Stories of Early Athenians & Visitors This project is supported by Georgia Humanities, in partnership with the Georgia Department of Economic Development, through appropriations made by the Georgia General Assembly.
