The production is based on Whitehead’s memoir, Giving Voice to Linnentown, and serves as a moving artistic tribute to the resilience and spirit of its former residents.
Proceeds from Linnentown- The Musical will help support Athens-Clarke County Center for Racial Justice and Black Futures, the city’s first African American history center. The Center will preserve and honor the stories of Linnentown and other aspects of local history.
