Athens On Ice Opens for the Season with New Family-Friendly Additions

ATHENS, GA – December 18, 2025 – Athens On Ice officially returned to Athens earlier this month, bringing an expanded lineup of festive experiences that make it easier than ever to check off those must-do holiday traditions. As the region’s only ice-skating rink, Athens On Ice continues to be a signature seasonal attraction, inviting the community to glide into the holidays surrounded by twinkling lights, seasonal treats, and themed skating nights designed to create lasting memories for families and friends.

Throughout December, guests can enjoy Tinsel Trail, presented by Women in Construction and The Classic Center Cultural Foundation, where decorated trees sponsored by local businesses and organizations create a festive walkway from Downtown Athens to Athens On Ice.
For the first time, Toddler Skate is available on select days for children five years old and younger, offering a fun and safe introduction to skating for the youngest guests.
Additional enhancements include festive lighting throughout the Pavilion.
Guests can also enjoy grilled concessions, a s’mores and hot chocolate station, and additional offerings on Fridays after 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays, provided by Levy Restaurants. Dates and times for grilled stations are subject to change.
